This is awesome. Great hack to put the computer to sleep….just as easy as turning off the lights. I am definitely willing to send my IKEA ghost (and cash) to Ted to get one of these since I am not “arduino inclined”.

I take a nightlight from IKEA and change its function to put my computer to sleep.
One tap of the nightlight turns on the light and puts my computer to sleep… a sortof alternate presence. Another tap does the reverse. The rechargeable batteries inside the nightlight can be charged by the USB connection to the Mac.
It is a very simple hack of an everyday object for the purpose of simplifying the sleep/wake procedure with a computer.
